Wednesday, July 23, 2008, Whitby: The Farmers' Mutual Novice Fury has captured the Zone 6 'C' Championship in their inaugural season, defeating Whitby 5-4 in their own arena. The Fury had to come from behind after starting the third period trailing 3-2.

banner collection continues to grow. The Jim Newton Electric Fury Peewee’s
traveled to Uxbridge on Monday July 21 to successfully defend their Zone
6 Peewee D Championship coming away with a 7-4 win.

BANTAM FURY DROP A TOUGH ONE TO THE BEACHES
The Bantam Fury played host to the Toronto Beaches in a rematch that the
boys had been waiting for for a long time. The game was much different
then the first time the two teams squared off in Toronto back in July,
with the Beaches winning 8-0. Both Goalies played outstounding and in the
end, the Beaches knew they were fortunate to escape with a 5-3 victory.

PETERBOROUGH LAKERS BURY FURY MIDGETS
Bantam Fury defeated 12-4. The game on Tuesday started out great, as the
Fury won the opening face off, went the length of the floor, and just 8
seconds into the game Brenden Hlibchuk buried a shot into the net behind
the Peterborough goaltender. But, it did not take long for the Lakers to
take it to the Fury

NOVICE & PEE WEE FURY QUALIFY FOR ZONE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Kawartha Lakes Minor Lacrosse Association is proud to announce that two of its three rep teams have qualified for 2008 Zone 6 Championship Games. The Jim Newton Electric Peewee Fury will play for the Peewee D Championship and the Farmers’ Mutual Novice Fury will complete for the Novice C Championship.

BANTAM FURY DEFEATS CLARINGTON
The Mason Homes Bantam Fury lacrosse team came up with their best all around effort of the season so far on Tuesday night, when they defeated the Clarington Gaels by a score of 8-5 at the Rec Complex. From the opening face off, the team, for the first time since the start of the season, looked like they meant business and took it to the Gaels right off the hop.

The Bantam Fury finally picked up their first Zone 6 win against the Clarington
Gaels, and it did not come without some great play at both ends of the

BANTAM FURY - STAYNER TOURNY CONSOLATION FINALISTS
The Bantam Fury headed to Stayner to play in the annual Stayner Hitmen
Fair Play Tournament and came home as the consolation finalist. The boys
must have been suffering from the long 2 hour drive and still a bit asleep
as in their first game, they were badly outplayed...

NO WIN YET FOR BANTAM FURY - BUT READY TO TURN THE CORNER?
The Mason Home Bantam Rep Fury is still looking for their first win five
games into the new season. The jump from the D level to the C level seems
to have the boys spinning their wheels a bit. Last nights game however
was closer then the previous four, so maybe this might be a sign of things
to come...

Tuesday, May 27, 2008:
NOVICE FURY CONTINUE THEIR WINNING WAYS
The Farmers' Mutual Novice Fury travelled to "Gael Country" to
take on Clarington on Tuesday May 27. Shier shut out the club in the first
& third period, allowing only two goals in the second, while our goal
scorers were consistent throughout the entire game and buried a total of
six goals bringing home yet another victory in our rookie season.
Goals - West (3), Hamilton (1) & Tamlin (2)
Assists - Holliday
Final Score - Fury 6 - Clarington 2

FIRST WIN STILL ELUDES BANTAM FURY
Game 3 into the season, and the Mason Homes Bantam Fury lacrosse squad
has yet to notch a victory. However, the encouraging news is that the boys

TWO IN A ROW FOR NOVICE FURY
The Fury Novice Rep played host to the Toronto Stars. Intense goal tending by Adam Shier
allowed the Fury to hang on to victory & the game ended in a 7-5 win!
Goal scorers of the night: Tamlin (2), Masters (3), Holliday & Fairbain with the assists coming from - Tamlin, Frise, Tomlison (2), Hamilton (2), Marquis & Poulton.
Tuesday, May 13, 2008:
FIRST WIN FOR NOVICE FURY
The Fury Novice Rep travelled down the highway to Whitby to take on Whitby in their second game of the season. The team started off strong scoring two of their six goals in the first period. Adam Shier played outstanding in net, allowing only two goals late in the third period.
Goal scorers for the evening were - Tamlin (2), Masters (2) & West
(2) with the assists coming from - Tamlin, Richard, Holliday & West.
Final Score: FURY 6 - WHITBY 2

Even though the outcome was not what the Mason Homes Bantam Rep Fury wanted,

TOUGH SEASON OPENER FOR BANTAM FURY
If game one of the season for the boys is any indication of how the season
is going to go, it is really going to be a learning experience. The boys
made the trip to Port Perry for their first game against the Uxbridge Enforcers,
and were dominated from start to finish, not only on the score board, losing
12-3, but were out hustled, out muscled and out played in all aspects of
the game.

Tuesday, May 6, 2008:
PROMISING START FOR NOVICE FURY
It was an exciting atmosphere for the home opener of the Farmers' Mutual Novice Rep Fury. Host to the Peterborough Lakers, the Fury fell just short of tying up the game with only 15 seconds left on the clock & the game ended in a 4-3 loss.
Mac West, Matt Tamlin & Reid Masters had a goal each & the assists came from Alarik Poulton (2), Carter Hamilton & Tyler Frise. Adam Shier played outstanding between the posts.
The Coaching Staff are very proud of the hard work & determination
the team showed & are looking forward to many more exciting games in
our inaugural season.
